PLEASE NOTE – MOTORS/ENGINES FROM 1990 OR EARLIER
We love a good classic, but after 35+ years, even the best engines start showing their age—think of it like asking your local mechanic to work on a 1980s sedan. Parts are harder to find (and more expensive when we do), and what starts as “just one thing” often turns into a few more surprises. To keep your experience positive, we no longer service outboard or I/O stern drive engines from 1990 or earlier, except for those owned by established customers. Limited winter-season service (Dec–Mar) may be available for older portable outboards—just give us a call first. 

 With over 80 years of combined experience, our certified technicians take pride in staying up to date with the ever-evolving technology of marine engines. We are an authorized service center for Yamaha outboards and remain the only authorized Evinrude and Johnson outboard service center in the Ithaca area. We also service OMC and MerCruiser sterndrives, as well as limited Volvo Penta units (please call first).
As of April 1, 2026, our labor rate is $140/hour. 

Prop repair, while not done on site, is always available – please expect an approximate one week turn around.
